POM’s New Office
We’ve been hard at work over the last few months renovating and decorating our new (to us) space at the Laramie Civic Center (Room 166). The vibe we’re going for is cozy and professional: a place that’s ready when our DSPs need a quick cup of caffeine or a quiet place to relax between shifts, and a centrally located hub for everything Peace of Mind!
One of our favorite details is the Peace of Mind mural by artist (and POM DSP!) Allison Wagg; it’s a gorgeous mountain scene featuring, of course, the POM aspen leaf and a couple of very cute butterflies.

We love the history of the Civic Center, and we can’t wait to host events in the same building as our office! Already, we have hosted multiple open houses for our team, participants, and community. Thank you to everyone who has stopped by!
If you haven’t seen POM’s office yet, check out this virtual tour by one of our participants!
June Chores for Charity 2026
Over halfway through our 2nd Annual June Chores for Charity, and we’re at six scheduled/completed chores, and we’ve raised over $250 in donations! Our goal is one chore for every day of June – only 24 more chores to go!
Contact us if you or someone you know needs simple cleaning, help moving boxes or furniture, or basic lawn care in the Laramie, WY area.
We can even schedule chores for later this summer! ☀️

WyoGives 2026
As the weather warms up, and our participants get out into the community for some fun in the sun, we’re reminded about why we do what we do. We work long hours, fundraise until we drop, and start every visit with participants with a smile because we believe they deserve to live the life they have imagined!
Peace of Mind relies on the generosity of our amazing donors to even better serve our participants, take care of our wonderful team, and build community initiatives that make an impact such as My Portable Peace of Mind DME (Durable Medical Equipment) Lending Closet and our recently launched Local Accessibility Project.
If you want to be a part of Peace of Mind’s future initiatives, help our participants have access to the life of their dreams, and give back to a community organization that gives so much – visit WyoGives.org on July 15th, and search for “Peace of Mind.” THANK YOU!
Our goal is $15,000; which might seem hefty, but here are a few reasons why we think we’ve got this:
- Michelle Cook (Founder and Executive Director) will match $1,000 of donations on Giving Day.
- An anonymous (& very generous) donor will match $5,000 of donations on Giving day.
- This year, we are eligible for the HCF Incentive Pool which will boost every gift’s impact.
- We know our community will show up and help us reach our goal just like they have for the past two years: 2024 ($5,000) and 2025 ($10,415)
Stay tuned for our Facebook livestream on July 15th featuring the POM team, participants, board members such as President Shelbey Gunter, and more!
There may be pies in faces at campaign milestones,
and there will definitely be a cowbell.
