They are also more likely to be displaced from their homes and face institutionalization as a result.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>People with disabilities face communication barriers, lack of accessible transportation, devices reliant on power, lack of education, and increased anxiety.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They may need to include specific supplies with their Go Bags such as two weeks worth of medications, chargers and power cords for devices reliant on power, supplies for service animals or ESAs, and copies of any relevant medical information such as an allergy list, existence of hardware, and a list of conditions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They may struggle with knowing who to call during an emergency: make a list of people you can count on BEFORE an emergency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emergencies can be unpredictable, but preparation puts control back in your hands.
